Dusty Continent
Lusaka, September dawn, the sun rises red, caused by the intense amount of dust in the air. Africa is dusty and smoky at this time of the year, dust from everything imaginable, mixed with the ash of a million bush fires, burning since the end of the rains in April. Clothes, cars, white washed walls, none escape a coating of the red soil from this red and dusty continent...and then the sun makes its full circle and heads down to sleep in the West, its sinks down deep red... leaving a dust trail in its wake.
